Bali

Two weeks ago, I went on a road trip together with these two badasses.
We drove from Seminyak up to Singaraja.
It was a beautiful drive through Bali's mountains. Fun bikes, chaotic traffic and nice views all along the way.
A mandatory sunset picture
On the second day we drove through some nice rice field sceneries ...
... on our way to the Sekumpul Waterfalls. It was a bumpy, adventurous ride but eventually we made it!
After some swimming, diving and a big photoshoot in the water we continued our ride to Ubud.Every taken photo during our stay at the falls turned out to be a high end product. The quality of these pictures is so damn high, I could not dare posting them here.
Nice sceneries awaited us again. A high road through the mountains with a good view on Bali's volcano Agung led us to Ubud. Unfortunately, my digicam's battery went down after taking this picture.

Since then I've been busy surfing. I'm pretty much what you'd call a Rookie still. So far it's always been fun to get out there chasing some waves but I'd rather spare you with shitty surfing pictures...

Revy In Motion Again

Somehow, I managed to get some high end gopro shots last season while riding revy. I also edited it by myself so your expectations can't be too high ...

Into The Wild

The title may sound cheeky, but it's exactly what Jo and I did: we bought some food, packed our backpacks and went hiking. After a 30 minutes drive over 4x4 roads we started "into the wild"; no signs, no paths, no people and a lot of nature's beauty.

Day 1: our first camp spot ...
... and the view back into the valley we came from.
The next day started rainy ...
... and stayed rainy.
Some colourful impressions during the first two days
Day 3: our second camp spot
Every now and then we found a game trail to follow, most of the times we didn't.
Another beautiful view
Jo, the "pathfinder" ...
... still looking for a path.
We spent the last night underneath a small rock shelter. It was pretty pretty damn cold (you may have noticed the snowy tops of the mountains in the background of this picture). Today started very rainy again and so we got a bit wet on our way out.

Whitehorse pt.III

Last week, we took Trixie out for a walk.
She showed us a nice creek, ...
... a little climb out of the creek ...
... and a pretty view on top of the creek.
Alex is complementing Trixie for her guiding-skills, Jo is feeling comfortable as well.
We also found a beaver lodge ...
... and a hungry chipmunk.
Jo and I decided to go back to that area for some more adventures, exploring and hiking. We ended up staying there for the last four days. Stay tuned for some more impressions ...

YUKON

The Yukon called ...
...  for a canoe trip.
I was forced to have a look!
We found some decent fishing spots, ...
... nice dinner spots, ...
... good spots to do dishes, ...
... very good spots to camp, ...
... and some amazing scenery of course.

That's the crew again: Robin, me, Tanja, David, Friedhelm and Jo.
We also met some animals on our way from Johnsons Crossing to Dawson City.
Big ones, ...
small ones, ...
spooky ones, ...
majestic ones, and many more.
A look to the right ...
... and a look to the left (both pics from the same spot).
The Yukon is quite big with a total length of over 3.000 km and up to 10 km/h fast.
There are beautiful creeks to be found which enter the big stream ...
... and a lot of islands and sand banks.
After all, it took us twelve days for the 700 km trip. Twelve days of beautiful nature! We saw (and heard!) tons of animals and almost no people.

If you are able to read German: hier gibt's einen ausführlichen Bericht aus der Sicht von Jo.

Thanks to everybody for letting me use their pictures & for an amazing time on these amazing rivers through the wilderness!
